The auction route was faultless as everyone involved in the process was extremely competent, experienced and easy to deal with. This made what for us was a very anxious first experience of auctions a very smooth sales process. The lower guide price attracted plenty of buyer interest highlighting the potential for buyers to add value and the final sale price received was significantly higher. There is no shortage of 3 bed vacant possession properties for sale in our area on the open market. From our property first being advertised to auction day was 4 weeks and we completed 6 weeks later. Today

This was my first time of using an auction house for selling a property and as it was a probate sale I was keen to ensure it went smoothly and was handled sensitively. Simon at First for Auctions was helpful throughout, explaining the process in detail and in keeping me up to date on progress. Some late reductions on the reserve price were necessary due to initial lack of interest but were handled efficiently. Being able to watch the online bidding on the day was nerve-racking, but useful to see the progress and eventual outcome in real time. Will probably not need to use again in future but have no hesitation recommending.

Our auctioneer was fab and his administrative staff were also fantastic. We had a stressful house sale - everybody’s is but ours more so as our solicitors were shut down two weeks before completion. I cannot thank Gareth and Amber for all their help support and humour during a very difficult time.
